Note: Arbitration concerning time and date will be determined by the Sport Chair or the Executive Director.

RULES:
Once a team has been seeded in the play-offs, a film exchange must take place.  The higher seed shall initiate the exchange which should take place on the Saturday preceding the contest.  It is the responsibility of both teams to select a convenient location between the schools to make the exchange; a minimum of the last two game films are to be exchanged.

The following decisions will be made and the responsibility assigned for each item:
1. Adequate seating facilities.
2. Police protection.
3. Officials.
4. Scoreboard, clock operator, and gate keepers.
5. Field marking and preparation.
6. Counting and distributing gate receipts to the NCISAA.
7. Reimbursement for game officials.
8. Responsibility for pre-game publicity.
9. Number of passes for each team.
10. Jersey colors.
11. Alternate date in the event of bad weather.
12. Selection of person to make financial report to NCISAA.
13. Game time and date.

SELECTION OF OFFICIALS: The home team is responsible for booking all officials. Officials must be NCAOA certified and assigned by the nearest available booking office.

TIE-BREAKER RULE: In the event of a tie game in the play-offs, the tie-breaker rule as approved by the National High School Federation will be used. Regular season NCISAA games will also use this rule unless it has no bearing to the play-offs.

GAME BALLS: Game balls will be furnished by the home team.

TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES

 

ADMISSION:

For first and second rounds, admission is $7.00 per person.  For the championship game, admission is $10.00 per person. Children under the age of eight are admitted free. 100% of gate receipts, after approved expenses, is due to the NCISAA.

NCISAA FOOTBALL CALENDAR – 2007(Approved January 25, 2007 for 2007-2008)

 

The FIRST Allowable Day of Practice is July 30, 2007 or any day following July 30, 2007 provided that conditions 1. And 2. below are followed before the first game.

 

1. Practice must begin with a MANDATORY 3-day conditioning period in shorts and helmets.  Suggested dates:  July 30 - August 1, 2007

 

2. Practice must include 6 days (This is by days and not number of sessions.) of contact with full pads.  Suggested dates:  August 2 – 9, 2007

 

The FIRST Allowable Scrimmage Day is August 10, 2007.  (Scrimmage is defined by the use of game officials.)

8 MAN FORMAT:

SEEDING:  The seeding committee will meet on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Parker’s Barbecue in Greenville, NC.

The top eight teams will be seeded for the play-offs. Teams #1 , #2, #3, and #4 will host the first rounds. The second round will be played at the site of the higher seed. The championship game will be played at the home of the higher seed. Ties will be resolved by head to head competition.

11-MAN FORMAT

 

SEEDING:  Eight teams will advance to the play-offs.  Each NCISAA conference with four (4) or more participating teams will receive an automatic bid.  The other at-large teams will be selected by the seeding committee to round out an eight team tournament.  Any  NCISAA member school is eligible for an at-large berth if they have completed four games on four separate dates.  The play-offs will be seeded by the seeding/selection committee who will meet on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Greensboro Day School.  The higher seeded team will be designated the home team throughout the tournament.  The All-State Team will be selected by the Seeding Committee prior to selecting the teams and their seeds.
