SEEDING: Deadline for 1A/2A/3A - Wednesday, May 5, 2010
GENERAL TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES: See pp. 33-36.
ENTRIES: In each classification a member school must play a minimum of 4 contests on 4 separate dates to be eligible to participate in state play off competition. For 1A and 2A, SIXTEEN teams will qualify for the state tournament. For 3A, TWELVE teams will qualify for the state tournament. Each NCISAA conference with four or more participating schools in a specific classification will receive an automatic bid. The remaining tournament teams will be selected at large by the seeding committee who will also seed the tournament on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Greensboro Day School 1A schools who are playing in a 2A conference will be eligible for selection to the 1A tournament and 2A schools who are playing in 1A or 3A conferences will be eligible for selection to the 2A tournament. First and second round games will be played at the site of the higher seed. The All State Selection Committee will meet prior to the Seeding Committee.

School Rabun Gap School Salem Academy Wesleyan Christian Academy RULES: Unless other specified, National High School Federation rules will be followed. Yellow card counts will be reset to zero before the state play-offs. Any player who receives three yellow cards in the play-offs will be suspended for one match; five yellow cards will equal an ejection effective for the remainder of the post-season play. In addition, the player will be suspended from the next NCISAA sanctioned event in any sport.
MERCY RULE. Any time during an NCISAA regular season or tournament soccer match, if one team is five or more goals ahead, the clock will continue to run except for injury time-outs.
TIES: 1. Two 10 minute overtimes, 2. Two 5 minute sudden victory overtimes, 3. Penalty kicks administered according to National High School Federation Handbook. 4. In all tie games, a coin toss will determine the choice of the ball at the start of each overtime period.
OFFICIALS: Officials will be state certified.
ADMISSION: Unless otherwise specified, admission for NCISAA play-off events is events is $7.00 per adult and $5.00 per NCISAA student. Children under the age of eight will be admitted free. 100% of gate receipts, after approved expenses, are due the NCISAA.
